Hi all

Was registered before when i had a tent but lost my log in details .

Now bought a freedom caravan as a fixer upper . Totally striping the interior and want to re seal / replace or clean up marker lights and some other exterior fittings as ive found damp ......basically anything old and knackered looking on the exterior will be replaced or re sealed and then the van left empty for a while so i can be sure any leaks are fixed .

Do i need different sealers ?

ie .....the awning rail at the front might be a place thats leaking , and the door definately is where its joined together .

Just thinking the marker lights and rear lights i might clean up and re use as im on a budget but they will definately get replaced at some stage .

Also , are generic marker lights available and grab handles as the genuine freedom stuff is not cheap .

Having said that i dont want to skimp but im all for saving a few bob .

sealent i was thinking of getting for the lot is the

POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE & SEALANT PU18

Thanks

PU 18 is ok for sealing everything. With an old caravan just adapt what parts you can. You will find suitable at caravan shop or from ebay.
