If they are 240 volt mains lights, do they have to be caravan specific. Is it worth looking at the wall lights available in the Lighting depts of B&Q, Homebase, etc, to see oil they have anything suitable?
Bertie.

I replaced the lights on my Abbey 516GTS last year due to the dated look of the originals. I couldn't find any lights with built in switches so just found some lights I liked the look of and fitted inline switches behind the unit - yes it means I have to open the cupboard to turn the light on or off but it's not a big problem.

The lights I got were from one of the diy stores and are exterior patio lights I think.

You need to check your wiring, the original lights may not be earthed but the replacements will need to be - on mine luckily the earth cable was present in the power cables.

Hope that helps.

Our 2012 Swift has no 240-volt lights fitted as standard. The kitchen area 12-v strip light is pathetic. So I fitted two close-linked LED 240-volt strip lights to illuminate the whole length of the kitchen area, with a total power demand of about 18 watts. I arranged it such that the 12-volt light can still be used if there was no mains electricity.
Bertie.
