I have a van fitted with the Whale Intelligent Control system, also I **think** now known as I-Van. This controller communicates to the water and space heaters wirelessly.
Due to a failure of hot water heater to heat on gas (a few weeks after warranty expires....) one suggestion was to reset the controller and re-introduce the hot water and space heater modules to the controller to clear any error conditions.
I have heard of dealers showing customers this process but can not find it documented.
I was wondering if anyone has experience of this???
Im not sure if yours is the same as our whale water system fitted to our 2013 Avante, but the water reset procedure is very sensitive and seconds perfect, and l can never reset ours alone, it takes two people, one on the reset button under the front bench and one on the panel.
Eventually my service engineer and his lad reset mine for me after we replaced our waterpump. He said it wasnt an easy thing to do and required a knack and ability to perform the sequence within a ten second time window.
