We managed to remove a broken key with a spot of super glue on the remainder. Assuming that all locks use the same key (ours did) it will be much cheaper to just order a new key. You need to be careful not to use too much glue but worth a try.

It's not rocket science changing/removing a lock barrel, the first thing is getting access to the unit to dismantle it.

Can you open the door ok using the broken bits? My guess is that if you can dismantle the lock from the door you stand a good chance of being able to extricate the broken piece and therefore only need a new key.
If you do need a barrel complete then look for 'Thetford lock barrel & 2 keys' at leisureshopdirect.com.

I had had keys break in locks before, not in the caravan/motorhome. Is there even the slightest amount of leverage you can apply? A couple of thin screwdrivers, one either side might just shift it out a bit and then use tweezers to pull it more. If you can get under the bed you should be able to undo the lock assembly depending on the one used but be careful as there will be a couple of small springs that could go anywhere. If the key has broken in the locked position you should be able to turn it to open from the inside with a pair of pliers. Good luck.

David
