Hi, I have just bought this van off ebay and it came without any paperwork, I have managed to re-register with CRIS but am hitting a brick wall with finding a manual, (have yet to identify water heater etc to even start there)

Can anyone help me? Where can I get a copy of a manual?

It looks as if the oven has been removed so I am left with the gas hob and a water heater and a mysterious switch above the door with a light that beams red at me but I have no idea what its connected to, originally thought it was the awning light but that has its own switch on the light housing. The gas fire is condemned (no surprise there given it was fitted in 1992) The pull out bed middle slats also removed as well as the cover/cabinet if there ever was one, so I plan to simply place a folding table over that. Oh, and no seating (small, 2ft 6" mattresses on order) One window net/blind is completely shot so I plan to remove and play around with it to see if I can repair it.

About to plug it into the mains for the first time today and see if the water heater/system/whale pump works as well as the fridge (that has seen better days and has warped the plyboard either side of it, I am assuming due to heat).

Any help with the manual would be kindly appreciated!

Cushions and other items missing and the seller didn't know how everything worked?

Maybe it's just me but that would have put me off.

Caravan cushions are quite costly but they do pop up for sale every now and then.

No cushions suited me as is already decided I was going to put mattresses in my next van. I discovered the fridge was heating up but not cooling so have had to arrange for another used one to be fitted, hopefully today- the van seller agreed to go 50/50 on that without prompting (I'd contacted him about the cris registration and mentioned the fridge) oh, and the water heater doesn't work which is no biggie since have kettle can boil.

I expected some issues, it's a 26yr old van, but I'm willing to sort them as it tows very well and has a working motor mover...

I wasn't put off as I went into it with my eyes open and at £700, it was a good buy even with its issues...

Sometimes you just gotta have faith....

The switch that turns on the red light is a warning light to tell you your outside light is on it also has the switch by the light normally that is over ridden by the red light switch.

The water heater should be a carver water heater which used to work on gas and 240v electric (when on mains hook up)

Thanks, I did work out the awning light eventually and I've also worked out the carver heater works on gas only... doh! Fun and games replacing the fridge today and it barely works- hopefully on gas it'll perform better.. all I need is my mattresses and I can plan my first camp! Yay!
