Hi everyone. The shower wall in my van (Coachman VIP 545/4 (2008) is coming adrift from the side wall by 3 or 4 mm. This wall is immediately to the right hand side of the cooker and worktop. The shower wall appears to be going upwards and causing the little right angled metal fixings to be pulled upwards, pulling the fixings from the side wall. Immediately above the cooker worktop there is a gap of about 4 to 5 mm between the worktop and the cooker. Can I safely add additional fixings, and if so how. What should I use to attach the fixings to the sidewall?

Hi, I would be tempted to have a good look around to see if you can see what has caused this to happen. Is there damp at the bottom from shower, or is the cooker insecure and pulling on the wall whilst being towed. As for adding fixings to sidewall you may need to see if there is a battern built into the wall to take a screw. If you can get to the bottom of the shower wall via a locker perhaps you could secure it to the floor to pull it back down

I've managed to sort this out by gently pushing the side panel in and refitting the fixings in slightly different places. Be interesting to see if the problem re-occurs.

There is no sign at all of damp in the vehicle. I suspect a bumpy road has been the problem.
