We have recently purchased a 2003 Hobby tourer. Everything appears to work except the gas fire/ heater.
I've removed the front cover, cleaned all the dust an tumble weeds of fluff from anywhere i can get too. changed the battery in the ignitor an replaced the cover
turn the dial an press an hold but i cant hear any clicks at all.
so i removed the ignitor an tried to short the pins on the back an got no spark. does the third wire need to be connected to try this?
I have spoken to previous owner who said he didn't really use it on gas only on EHU
do you think i need a new spark thingy?

The spark is dependent on a good connection. Rechargeable batteries don’t work in mine, I think the nose of the + connector is too short - Duracell batteries work best. I also remember folding up cardboard to pack up the battery holder and giving it a better pressure on the contacts. Worth a try. Good luck
