Your dealer must of taken pictures of the cracks for Swift to approve the fitting of them. We have them fitted on our caravan bought new in 2013 . We have no cracks, but when caravan went for its 2nd service they were fitted as a precaution. If your caravan has had full servicing by a Swift dealer they would, or should of been fitted to prevent cracking. But if serviced by an independent they would not get done. For information the original caps at the ends of the roof seam are removed and cap reaches from there to the end of the roof before it curves downwards.

Awkward to provide size due to their shape. They cover an area approx 100m in width from the rear top curve, forwards to the first roof joint and down the side, following the awning channel to approx 140mm down the rear side (measurements from memory as I fitted mine myself). The caps are generic and have to be cut/filed to size.

I'll try and get a photograph of mine with a measure to illustrate their approx dimension, but in every instance where I've spoken to folk with similar stress cracks, the caps have fully covered the area without concern.
