Hi

I've not posted here before, but have a 2002 Compass Omega. I forgot to knock off the electric water heater switch earlier this year and the power tripped. Since then the caravan has been used 3 times and the water isn't heating on electric - just gas.

Am I right in thinking that if it was going to reset, it would have done it by now? I guess a new element is needed but thought I'd ask

Also how do I find out what type of element I need(assuming there are different)? Is it a case of taking the old one out to find out?

thanks in advance....

I think there is a reset button on this model its located at rear of thermostat a small red button you need to remove the terminal cover from front to be able to see it.
hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the stupid question but when you say terminal cover, is that the cover on the actual ultrastore or something else?

You will get a better idea when you have a look at the series 3 exploded diagram, item 50 - thermostat, overtemp. That should probably fix it.

Thanks for that Dave - do you know If it is a switch that is able to be reset, or a part that may have burnt out and need replacing?

I think it will be a resettable cut-out, probably has a little red pin sticking out, press it in and there should be a little audible 'click' as it re-sets. (all power OFF before starting to work on it of course). Good luck .

I have a truma ultra store in a 2003 Bailey. Its fitted with a 450w element and has no reset button.

The replacement element is quite expensive at over £120 but takes 15minutes to fit
