I've not posted here before, but have a 2002 Compass Omega. I forgot to knock off the electric water heater switch earlier this year and the power tripped. Since then the caravan has been used 3 times and the water isn't heating on electric - just gas.
Am I right in thinking that if it was going to reset, it would have done it by now? I guess a new element is needed but thought I'd ask
Also how do I find out what type of element I need(assuming there are different)? Is it a case of taking the old one out to find out?
I think there is a reset button on this model its located at rear of thermostat a small red button you need to remove the terminal cover from front to be able to see it.
hope this helps.
I think it will be a resettable cut-out, probably has a little red pin sticking out, press it in and there should be a little audible 'click' as it re-sets. (all power OFF before starting to work on it of course). Good luck .
