They are the same size tyres as what was on my previous Coachman except they were 6 ply rated tyres. I still have the original handbook which the tyre pressures are listed as 50 psi. If you receive no further replies at least it gives you a guide to go on as to what pressures are required.

Is this website really that accurate?
According to my Coachman handbook the official tyres sizes and pressures for my single axle caravan are 195 x 14 with tyre pressures of 39 psi. This website suggests 47 psi. which is huge difference. Tyres are an important part of road safety so I would prefer to adhere to the handbook for both safety and insurance reasons.

It might well be right. The tyre has a max load rating and a max pressure. If it is loaded to its max load then it will need the max pressure. However, if it is loaded to only 80% load it will only require 80% pressure.

I suspect that different tyre manufacturers may have a different load rating and max pressure than another manufacturer. So the pressure could be different for the same size tyre.

Add I the factor of a variable load in the vehicle. MTPLM is the max load but yours may be 100kg less than that or maybe more. That will require a different pressure.

Many car manufacturers quote different pressures depending on whether a car is lightly or heavily loaded.
