Hey everyone, just gone away for the weekend. MY Whale Elegance long spout mixer tap is leaking on me. I need to change the spout which is split. I also need to change the mounting board as its damaged too. Does anyone know where i can get these items separately, dont really want to be forking out for the full kit!
Also is there a way of getting a metal tap and using that instead of this plastic which seems to crack??
If the caravan uses a pressurised type water system as opposed to the earlier switched taps, then you can actually use a domestic tap, something I ended up replacing on my former Bailey van. These are far more favourably priced than "caravan specific" parts, you just need to check the aperture/hole size required.

As for the comment of the mounting board, I'm not 100% what you refer to ... the worktop?
Thanks for that, it is on old microswitches. i have order a new spout and fitted that and seems to work. The mounting board is just a plastic bracket that it sits on/part of the tap unit.
You're obviously a lot more restricted with the switched taps unfortunately ... unless you convert the whole system to a pressured one. If you had further taps failure, I'd consider this as an option.
