Water heated up when last used but now it only heats up on the gas. Any ideas?

Electric element faulty? Assuming you are on hook up and everything is switched on then the usual problem is the element itself, when the element went on our Bailey it tripped the electrics on the bollard.Are all the other 230 volt items working ok?
