We about to collect our new van (to us!) it’s the bunk and side dinette version, there aren’t any sockets beyond the kitchen, does anyone have experince of adding sockets to the rear bed area and if so where they took the feed from please.

I put one in a wardrobe for the mrs to use her straighteners. Took it off the adjacent cooker 240v feed. And put another in the front locker, for my cool box, taken off the adjacent outside socket feed.
I've added a few sockets to mt Elddis. I used 1.5mm flex and took the supply from the nearest socket. It is safe as the breaker protects the wiring. I have added 6 sockets, 4 are for charing phones and tablets, I fitted 14A sockets with inbuilt USB charger. Also one for charging electric toothbrushes and another for the electric blanket. None of them are high powered things.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
