We are currently running a aqua roll with a whale submersible pump dangled into it.

whilst this works, the flow rate is rubbish and using it as a shaower is like someone dribbling water on you.

Do these pumps wear out causing this, or is this just how they work?

if so can i replace it with something with more through put?

we are using a none pressured system

We had one of these and it was OK, so maybe your submersible pump is on the way out.

Is there any way you could borrow one to check it out ?

There are a few different versions of Whale pumps. Ours packed up mid holiday a couple of years ago and the only one we could get locally was a low flow one, which was rubbish but saw us through the holiday, replaced with a better one when we got home.

Cheers all, I have ordered a "Seaflo" pump from Amazon, it wasn't expensive an if it doesnt itimprove I'll just keep it as a spare

A friend suggested taking the ends of the taps off to see if they are blocking it. Didnt know they even came off?!

Yes, they quite often get blocked with detritus and limescale. If stuck, pour some vinegar over it to dissolve the limescale 'glue'.
