Hi our truma fire has stopped working was working fine yesterday we are away at present the thermostats green light no longer comes on 10amp fuse ok , fan blows but no heat. Does anyone know what else to try. It will not light on gas found battery had leaked in casing so no fire !!! No heat aaaggghhhh
Hi Steve and welcome to the forum. I guess you are using the electric side as battery compartment is caput for lighting the gas.
The clue is that the little green light is out, that is the low voltage is missing from the control circuit from the mains transformer. it's on the control PCB inside the fire. The blower fan circuit is separate and runs from the 12v volts from the battery.
If/when you can look at the circuit board, (it's not easy to get at like in mine) check for cracks or dry joints in the soldering, especially around the transformer pins. If the top of the plastic encapsulation of the tranny is domed, (a common fault) the transformer is defective, it has overheated.
Spares can be tracked down by using the reference numbers on the components or if you want to buy a complete new PCB, they are readily available but pricey. Click on this link
