Wish I hadn’t read this thread just before dinner. This is why our MH Toilet Fairy has strict Terms & Conditions in her contract, one being “strictly liquid only”.
I had been approached by a friend to borrow my van who said he would pay for rental, and the thought of anyone else using my toilet just does not appeal, so I said no.

You’d have to get him onto your insurance too.
It will never happen - too precious to lend it to anyone.
I don't even want to share it with anyone!
If I have very close friends to come and visit me, they can have the bed upstairs and I shall sleep in the van.

When we had the motorhome our daughter in law asked if her parents could borrow it to use as accommodation when they all went visiting their relatives 200 miles away. I was not popular when I said no.
She came back with "well they don't need it now anyway as they are borrowing my cousins and it is newer than yours"
Her dad then managed to side swipe a van in a motorway services car park and do £2000 worth of damage to it plus damage to the van.
Although I have never faced the problem of emptying an overfull toilet, My understanding of the situation is to open the cassette door, swivel the outlet nozzle to point outward. Then place a bucket under it and unscrew the cap.
I think this should drop the level of fluid to a point that the cassette can be removed.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

On my Thetford, it would certainly lower the bowl contents level, but I doubt it would empty the bowl completely as the lower edge of outlet nozzle is pretty much same level as top of tank so virtually at or even above the blade height. But anything that improves the situation has to be good! If you tilted the van towards tank side, would probably work best as lowering nozzle in relation to blade.
Hope I never have that issue to deal with! Defo salute to ratcatcher for his efforts.

In practice the outlet nozzle is set below the top of the cassette so, yes, very similar in height to the blade. However, I believe Thetford did give this possibility a little thought and I suspect it may just be the solution.
However, as said, we hope we never have to face the problem.
