hello, just joined the group after using it for much information recently before taking the plunge on a caravan.
Ended up buying an old, 1991, cheap sprite esprit which is suffering from damp among some other little things.
Had it inside a building over the weekend with a heater inside trying to get rid of lingering moisture while at the same time starting to strip out the damp. Main areas are the front window surround, toilet walls and wheel arch surround on the offside.
Found this website so useful looking for hints tips and info, which I want to thank everybody on here for.
main question is the front window frame that was removed was essentially only around the window to allow the seal to screw/bond onto as well as the window mount, is there much to gain making this frame larger for more strength or is it better using the original design of using front shelf to form the rigidity. ive added a couple of pictures of the 'project'
I don't know if you might find some useful tips on this site.
Good luck, and welcome to the Forum.
