I would have thought that the light would be after the fuse, so if the light is coming on the fuse is probably ok. Are you sure the pump itself is actually working? Is it an onboard pump or a submersible type? Have you checked with a voltmeter that there is actually power going to the pump?

When you say the pump light has changed colour, what has it changed from and to?

Colin

We used to have a Transtar of about that age (can`t remember exactly, but should never have sold it), and I seem to remember there were some fuses in the over kitchen light/extractor unit, behind a panel on the right I think (couple of screws).

As Colin has pointed out, if the pump light is working I`d be more inclined to look at the pump itself (assuming there is no water from any tap- hot or cold - thereby ruling out a faulty microswitch).

Is the battery fully charged? A flattish battery will not usually power the pump.

Are the microswitches ok?

That's why I asked about the colour change of the light. A low battery may cause what was a white light to become a dull red or orange glow.

Thanks for help everyone. Found fuses under light. Fuse was fine light coming in when I open tap. So hopefully it's the pump. I have been running 12v system straight from caravan battery charger/transformer. It's worked fine. Should I add leisure battery.??.

I think it is best to have a leisure battery, although it is perfectly possible to do what you are currently doing. The battery helps to stabilise the voltage coming from the battery charger, which can be important if you run any sensitive equipment from the 12 volts, such as TVs or computer equipment. It's also a back-up should the site's mains supply go off for any reason, which always happens at the most inconvenient time.
