Bought a 2010 Senator 6 Carolina first trip out was fine but wasn’t draining right and water supply was an issue. Got home and upgraded drainage to standard 32mm and drains lovely. Bought a new pump fitted it but still getting air in the system. Long story short decided to upgrade all incoming water items. Removed incoming valve to replace found lots of damp. Stripped out internally and almost ready to reinstate but some of the remaining frame timber that I had to cut out is still adhered strongly to the aluminium skin. I have no idea how to remove this to allow my new timber to be bonded in place. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. If the remaining wood is sound, I would be tempted to get it pretty much the same thickness along it's length and affix the new wood (thickness adjusted) to the old. That way you don't risk damaging the aluminium skin and the end result will be the same.

Dave.

Dave thanks for that but it is so uneven and thin I was just hoping to be able to neaten it up prior to the new timber being installed but I know what you mean about the micro thin aluminium!
