I,m looking to get a whole new water heating system, for heating and hot water, i looked at the webasto and eberspacher systems but they are £2500. What other solutions are there that are not so expensive. If any.   Thanks !

Welcome to UKCS. I assume you’re doing your own van conversion? Webasto seems to be a diesel system (is that right?) so I googled for “diesel heater for Motorhome”. Thermotechnica seems to be about £1.5K.
Diesel heating lets you go off grid but the ones I’ve been near to on sites have all been quite noisy & smelly. I don’t know if the more usual gas system would be cheaper. https://www.thermotechnica.com/product/truma-type-combi-6kw-diesel-caravan-and-motorhome-heater-kit/

thanks for your feedback, the noise is overcome by using the silencer, also i,ve been told that the heater makes most noise when its on full , but all heating has noise, unless its electric , which is a no no,   unless your on grid.   These can be housed externally also , or in a cupboard or insulated space. I,ve also been told that the underfloor heating pipes are 50 year guarentee.

Propex do economically priced gas heating systems but not radiator systems I believe. They are probably quite noisy.

So just to be clear, this is for a van conversion, yes?

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

The 50 year guarantee for the underfloor pipes puzzled me: a campervan or Motorhome would have rusted away in 50 years, but I’ve seen touring caravans that old.
