Hi
Help needed with failed fridge please !!
I have a Thetford n3150 Fridge in my motorhome that was working fine but now it's died, not a light on at all.Iv'e checked the fuse , disconnected and connected back up the battery,iv'e tried it on mains and 12 v but nothing.
Im'e going to remove it and check the supply at the back but surely the mains and 12 v cannot have both failed, i did read there is a fuse in the fridge so anybody with any info that they could send will be gladly received.
I was looking to get the front control panel off to check supply there but had a quick look and couldn't see how it came off, maybe its not possible from the front ?
just bought the motorhome , i know'it's history and know the fridge worked ok.
Cheers.

First of all the power 12 v & 240v goes into the fridge into the control box at the bottom of the fridge at the back. You will have to take the fridge out to access this. I have just had to replace mine recently. You will also have to disconnect the gas pipe as well. At the back of fridge is 2 connectors one for 12 v and one for mains. If you can locate the 12v one by removing the lower grill outside you can check this for volts before removing the fridge. If it has volts then the fridge controller is the problem and fridge will have to come out. If no volts then trace wiring back to the 20amp fuse and check. Without a 12 volt supply going into the control box it will not work even if there is mains volts. I found a new control box for mine at Jackson’s leisure on EBay about £150. Delivered next day courier.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that , most helpful ,it looks like the outside vent just pulls off to access the screws.I will test for 12 volts ,as i mentioned in my first post ,i think somebody said there is a fuse in the control box. When looking at spares on ebay the front control panel seemed to look to have a lot going on , components etc so do you know if that can be tested,im,e assuming there is a control box at the back and a led display and controls at the front of the fridge as well.
Thanks Birdman 👍

The board at the front is only circuit board with selection settings .The control module at the back is the main controlling wether on electric or gas and operating the gas valve. There is a fuse inside the module but I doubt that had gone. If so for that to blow must be a major fault on the unit needing a new one any way. But without the fridge out you cannot remove the module to open it up.Before you disconnect things when the fridge it out I would advise to take photo showing all connections for reference when replacing. The new module is a modified unit and wiring needs alteration but diagram instructions were supplied. With the new module the kit also had a new circuit board for the front supplied.
