Hi i am new here but we have just purchased our first old caravan. We knew there was some damp on the bathroom walls due to the seal not being maintained but we have just gone to rip it out today and found a rather damp floor.
The floor under the shower is damp and the floor near the front door. After a good look underneath we have also found the rear corner doesnt look great (not terrible) so we are thinking if we are taking out the kitchen and the bathroom to fix the internal floor we may aswell do all of it.
Couple of questions...... the wall to the bathroom from the kitchen is fine but it seems to be screwed down from the ceiling, surely we need to remove this wall to fit the new floor? Do we cut it out and build a replacement or is there another way?
Secondly with the floor what type and thickness of wood do we use internally and externally? Is fitting a new external floor easy enough to do? We are pretty good at DIY but its a first doing a caravan 😁😆
