Hello, all, new to the group

Having some issues with my Dometic 3 way fridge RM 4210 model

12v running fine

240v element broken needs replacing so not working on EHU- well told broken as no power going to it

Gas - all level, ignites with solid blue flame but not cooling the fridge, full gas bottle used

I have had a 25amp fuse blown in the van fuse box located in the cab glovebox which was powering the cigarette lighter and internal van lights. Now replaced tonight but not sure if that would effect fridge on the EHU

Any ideas 💡

If there is no power going to the element rather than the element blown suggests it is the control module if, 240 v is going to the fridge. Advise you get a fridge service done to sort it for you. Fridge 12 v is powered from the leisure battery for the controls.

Sounds like this is a “new to you” Motorhome or camper (you mention a glovebox). You might be best getting a Habitation Service done, as the vehicle may well have other problems. We didn’t know about the bird nest blocking our gas fire flue, for example. And we had a fridge problem too, albeit different, so I can’t advise here.

Could be the blown fuse was disabling the 12v supply to the fridge control panel, which would mess things up, including thermostat etc. You might even find the 240v magically springs into life again! Well, we can hope. The hab check is a good call from Fiona.
