Hello everyone... 7 weeks on and we finally resolved the issue and now have running water again!!
Things we did:
1. Change the pump
2. Open the new pump to see if there was any debris in it (there wasn't)
3. Replace the wooden board the pump was on in case it was vibration
3. Change all the Push Fit connectors in case there was air in the system
4. Take the cover off the hot water tank... This did nothing as we couldn't work out how to get in the tank after that😂
None of these worked.... Do you know what it was?
Nope, you'll never guess what that awful dreadful noise was....
It was the yellow drain valve. It was loose and for some reason it was making an almighty racket every now and then as the water pushed through it.
So we replaced it and... It's been a week and all is well HURRAY!!
I'm leaving this update in case someone in the future reads the chain.
Thank you all very very much for the suggestions and help!
If you read the pump instructions it should be mounted vertically and not on its side as in picture, unless you did this a previous owner must have altered it.Shold be mounted with electrical connections at the bottom.
Glad you persivered and finally sorted it, plus you came back and let us all know. Nice one, a lot don't bother. New one on me but every day is a school day.
