On the ferry back from France we left the dogs in the caravan thinking it would be more comfortable for them. During the crossing they had obviously make a bid for freedom and damaged the Blind/Flyscreens in the lounge and bedroom.
The flyscreen part has beome detached on both blinds and on the bedroom one it has knocked the end out of the aluminium handle. No plastic parts or cords are broken so does anyone know if these can be repaired?
I;ve removed the bedroom one and its like arguing with a kite and a mechano set! Not being mechanically minded I'm struggling. I've watched youtube videos about the blinds but they don't cover my problem.
Does anyone know of someone in the Cleveland / Durham / North Yorkshire area who could do it?
Our dog left alone demolished the concertina blind in the cab side window cassette. It’s on offer at Leisureshopdirect for just less than £200… Meanwhile we made a temporary repair with tape.
I don’t know about caravan parts but a dealer might not carry parts, but might fit one if you source it yourself. Or get the parts & DIY - try searching here, someone else might have done it already.
Now sorted! Replacement blinds from breakers fitted yesterday. Brilliant job if I do say it myself. 2 for £100 inc carriage.
Anyone want a Dometic blind 970 x 670 with white fly screen part and sky/bluish pleated part? Free to good home fully working just needs seam between fly screen and pleated bit sticking together as they work fine separately.
