Hi all, I have a Swift Royale 610 with a carver cascade 2 plus water heater, I have 2 buttons, "on" and "off" and then 3 lights, "power on" "low battery" and "alarm"
Each time I try to power it on, the flame ignites with a strong flame and heat coming from burnerbox perfectly, for about 30 seconds, and then shuts off and I have the "alarm" red light on.
I've checked water flow, I've checked air in system, I've checked gas can flow in this temperature and it has previously worked.
Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how did you do it?
Ps. I have read the manuals and I can't find anything at all!
I have figured it put I think, I had done some research of similar issues with this model, and a reply to another enquiry said to try using a hairdryer or heating element to warm up the electrical component that runs the burner, which has a sensor built in, so I think the sensor is the issue? Because the hairdryer worked perfectly.
A little confusion here, the black wedged shaped box under the tank is where the electronic control lives and where to apply heat from the hair dryer.
This issue is often due to damp on the control board itself effecting the flame failure circuit and the heat soon dries it restoring correct operation.
Once then operation is restored, the heat from the hot water in the tank directly above maintains operation
