We had some minor damage to our Compass Casita 2022 model.
The damage is minimal but has rubbed the paint off through to the aluminium skin in a area about 3cm wide and 10cm high but hasn't really done any damage to the aluminium.
Spoke to a small dent car repair lad and he would be able to sort it but he needs the colour or the ral code.
Have been in touch with Elddis and they wouldn't tell us and not having any joy elsewhere.
have found a couple of products from touch up companies online but we don't know which is our colour as there are two to pick from,
one is called New Glace and the other Creme Carv1300.
No absolute need for a paint code. Colours can be 'matched to a sample' using a Spectrophotometer. Decent (car body) repair shops/paint suppliers will have the instrument, but you'll have to get a part/panel or the entire van to them for them to scan it! It can achieve a perfect match even taking account of aging discolouration.
The bare aluminium will oxidise and develop a slight white powdery surface on exposure to air! It will need a specific aluminium etching primer to get correct paint adhesion.
Can't help with the specific paint code I'm afraid, can't find the correct one for my Lunar either!
Paints colour fades over time due to UV sunlught so even if you got the exact code when new it probably wouldn't be quite right now. As Monty15 says go to a proper paint supplier or bodyshop and ask their advice.
I managed to scrape a long dent across the door of my Bailey caravan a few years ago and did the repair successfuly myself by getting advice from those who do it all the time. Plus, it only cost me for the price of the paint, etch primer, various grades of emery paper etc.
