Hi
Help please

Bailey Ranger 540/6 2009

Battery is showing 13v and powers the motor mover and the awning light comes on.

The volt meter is showing no volts and I have no other lights in the van.

I have 13V to the master switch and all flat fuses are tested and all ok.

I have removed the charger as this fried last summer, but even with it removed the 12v should, and did still work.

Mains system does still work.

Any suggestions

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You could probably do with getting hold of your particular wiring diagram, it will help you understand just what parts of the circuit are connected to each other to make a complete circuit. There should have been one in your Bailey Welcome pack that was in a blue fabric folder that had instructions on how everything worked in the van.

Failing that, do an online seaech for it, and look for Bailey series 7 wiring diagram for your Ranger model. You don't need to be into electronics in a big way as most of it is pretty self explanitory and the fault you have is a basic one. Remember that you can have no volts if the neutral return wire is faulty or has a bad connection.

Good luck.

Dave.

They hide a in-line fuse under the battery box and thats usually the culprit

Thanks for the reply but, as stated above, I do have 13v to the master switch, so the fuse is ok 🫣

Just an update for anyone who has the same issue i.e. no 12V circuit but the awning light works.

This is most likely the circuit board (PCB board) or a relay on it. I replaced mine and it all worked.

I bought mine through my local caravan shop who got it from the OEM. The price was £75 compared to the £182 Prima wanted 🤨

Also the charger unit I sent away and had repaired, it only took a few days but was only £45 compared to a new one for £130.

Now all working again 😁
