Hi Maggie, that sounds plausable to me, after all the wood isn't in free air to dry out more rapidly, it is sandwiched between the impermiable metal skin and the pretty waterproof wall board covering. It is comming down, that's the main thing. I would continue to monitor it though, especially after a lot of rain to make sure that the drying out continues.

He does a lot of damp work for a dealer so he knows what he's doing readings in toilet we're 25 37 at front of toilet he asked my hubby do you m8ss the pot 😆 Also I had just changed the flush pump on the toilet and had emptied the tank with a cloth got all the algae out So water got on the floor He's coming to check and monitor it for us but said for an older van it's in hood desperate But said Coachman were good vsns
Years ago I had a window leak on a caravan and lifted the rubber seal internally around the window and pushed matchsticks under to hold it out to allow the air to dry it, whilst the caravan was not in use. Took best part of a month to dry out. So would expect it to take a lot longer if the air cannot get to it.
Birdman before he came we tried to get someone it took 6 month to get a mobile guy our usual guy would do service but not repairs .We lifted seal and had a hairdryer on it for 2 days so dried some out but new seal is on now .Also we are going to seal above the window ourselves just Overseal it as we know someone else has done there Just to make sure nothing comes in there either
