Looking for some advice please folks.

Cold water infeed into the tank began leaking at the elbow so was replaced (8mm pipe).

Replaced elbow and tightened, taking care not to over tighten etc but it is still leaking.

Have tried all sorts and patience is running low now 😡.

Do I need some kind of sealant aswell, I am sure the original didn't have any on etc.

The connections/pipe on the tank are the ones that flare out to the end.

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Hi and welcome to the forum. Normally sealant is not required on water connections in caravans, either barbed with a jubilee clip or push-fit as in Guest kit.
I have had an instance where the end of the pipe was split and therefore leaked under pressure.

Cheers Dave,
Thankyou for the reply, yes I didnt think sealant was required.
The push fit end into the elbow is a nice clean even cut.
It is leaking from the other end of the elbow where the nut screws up onto the small washer to make a snug fit.
New elbow, washer and nut have been installed but to no avail.
The number of turns on the nut is the same as the one on the connection for the hot water feed out of the tank and just as secure. But still drips etc..

hi, Try unscrewing the elbows, get some plumbers ptfe tape and wrap some round the fitting threads and then refit the elbow and you should be good
