I think if I was doing it I would opt for carpet tiles. They are easy to lay and easy to take up individual ones if they get wet or damaged.

Plenty of people out there who do caravan / motorhome carpets with edge binding.

Google is your friend.

We used carpet tiles on our first Coachman, very pleased with the result. I would certainly go with that option again.

If you want a loose carpet, the same as the original, look for a small local carpet shop and ask if they do edge binding. Round where we live there are a load of small carpet shops and you can generally tell if they have a binding machine because they have small doormats made of carpet or carpet runners with bound edges advertised in the window. They make these from leftover offcuts which they bind and then sell.

If you find one, take the original carpets for them to use as a template and they will make you a new set from whatever carpet they have that you like.

I cover most of my van's floors with non-slip mats that can be washed in the washing machine.

I've had carpet, vinyl, carpet tiles and now whipped and bound carpet. They all looked good. The original carpet was stapled in when installed, the vinyl and carpet tiles were suck to the floor using adhesive. The latest carpet was professionally installed and are whipped and bound. The staples were a pain to remove, the adhesives were very difficult to remove but the whipped and bound carpet just lifts up and can be vaccumed or carpet cleaned out of the caravan.

Would be good to know, and help others, how the OP got on with the suggestions provided.

And even the name of a company they used, if they went down that route.
