Hi all. First time away this year to test out our 2019 Bailey phoenix 640 before we go farther afield for the rest of the year. We have had it from new and like to make sure all is good.
This year our pump seems to be cycling every 5-10 mins. We don't have air in the system and there does not appear to be any leaks. Its an external truma pump in an aquaroll. I also dont believe I can change the pressure switch settings. I tried AI for an answer but I dont think it's correct.
Any thoughts on where I should be looking?
We have had a couple of motorhomes and caravans which now and the re-pressurise themselves. I have always put it down to a slight drop in pressure and tended to ignore it.
Thanks all. I dont believe i can adjust the pressure switch as it's an external pump. I also checked the other rings and they look good.
I was hoping it would sort itself out but still does it a few times an hour.
Decided to buy another ultraflow compact inlet to see if that works. Will let you know
Just because your pump is external does not mean there is no pressure switch. Our pump is also in the aquaroll and system is fitted with a whale in line adjustable pressure switch. If you have one it will be fitted in pipe work near to where water pipe enters caravan possibly under the bunk or in cupboard. If you google search Whale in line pressure switch you will see what it looks like and find adjusting instructions.
There may well be a very small bit of detritus stuck in the non-return valve, it happened to us and symptons were similar. the pressure drops slowly as the water leaks bsack into the aquaroll over time. Best way to check without any dismantling is to feel the feed pipe, if it gets slightly warm, the hot water is running back.

I had a similar problem with a boat I once owned. I never did actually find where the problem was and simply got used to the cycling during the day, but it was annoying overnight. My simple answer to that was to fit an isolating switch in the 12 volt feed to the pump, and turned it off overnight and when we went ashore. It was one reason why I kept the micro-switched system in my older caravan. The other was that I wasn't that keen on having a water system that was pressurised 24/7. If a leak developed while we were out or asleep it could flood the caravan.

Thanks. I have a new inlet coming so I will get it fitted and see if that sorts it out.
