My caravan fridge is coming up with a symbol number 4 and a spanner symbol I’ve looked this up and it says DC heater switched on cannot find any switch for DC heater. Can anyone help?
Open the door and you will see a small rocker switch on the upper door return.
Have never had to use mine but it could be used to warm the door frame to prevent it icing up.

Not enough info to be specific with solutions I'm afraid, there are numerous different fridges fitted to various caravans over the years, need make, model and year!
As a general answer, the DC heater should only be functional when the van is hitched to the tow car with the engine running, when it's powered trough the towbar electrics. Most fridges have a switch on the control panel (often a car battery symbol) that allows use when towing. There is also usually a relay in the caravan control box that switches car sourced power on/off.
What’s the context? Are you hitched up & the car engine is running? On EHU? Off grid - neither hitched up nor hooked up?
We have our fridge on A & it switches to the appropriate power source automatically. The spanner comes up flashing when the MH ignition is turned off but we haven’t hooked up yet.
