We are off to France in August in our tent. I am looking at buying a fridge/cooler to keep stuff cool in our family dome tent.I have decided to run it off an EHU (loads of great advice in earlier threads - thanks)

However I don't know what sort of fridge to buy, some of you advocate buying a domestic table top fridge, others a powered cool box and others a proper camping fridge. So i suppose I am asking, which is best/what are the pro's & con's of the different types/any recommendations etc.

Hi.our caravan hasnt got a fridge and we usea  combi-cool...............they are about £150 and really good both on electric hookup and on gas..................i think a few others would agree they are a very good option

A small proper (mains compressor) fridge will always be the best, the kind thats used in flats/Bedsits, if you are always going to use hookup.

Check with the site you are going to they may hire fridges.

Any idea as to how long the warranty is on the combicool fridges? and once its run out are they repairable?
