Just been checking out the fares/deals available on the Stranraer/Belfast route.

The CC fare is £80 dearer than Stena's.  That's according to the CC's much trumpeted web site, compared to Stena's site.

Now where's that list of member benefits??

Am I the only one wondering just where the CC is going these days??  I'll certainly not be booking via it, that's for sure!!!

HOLD THE FRONT PAGE:  Have now phoned the CC's travel dept, and was quoted, accepted and booked at a price of £149 less than their web site.  So much for the supposedly great online booking service!!! 

Just shows it's worth persevering and trying the "this is what your competitors are offering but I'd rather go with you" routine. I agree it does make a nonesense of on-line cheaper quotes though.

NO you are not alone mate......we have kicked the CC into touch for insurance and one or two other things where they seem a bit over the top.  We only renew our membership these days so we can carry on using the CL's.....only thing left thats cheap and chearful.
