Having just hired a carpet cleaner to do one of my house carpets I was wondering if you could use one of these to do the caravan, ( in summer of course). Has anyone used one?  because I got to thinking about this delamination thingy and would the floor be ok with using the carpet shampoo e.t.c. Of course I realise it would not be a good idea to wet it too much, it really only needs a freshen up.

My OH does ours by hand using the carpet shampoo from the machine and a sponge. It doesn't take long being such a small area. I wouldn't fancy using a carpet cleaning machine in the van.

I shampooed the whole of the carpet in our last caravan, it was a light green colour and was a pain to keep clean. I used my big Bissell machine which cleans and sucks the water up so it was nearly dry afterwards. A hired machine will do exactly the same. I did leave it till the spring tho' when the weather was a little warmer, but it turned out beautifully and no harm came to the floor at all.

Thanks windywoo, that sounds good then, I will think about it for next year. It dosen't look that dirty, we are quite careful but you can't tell realy as it is that speckled darkish colour. Just thought it may need a freshen up. Thanx Janx.
