Can anyone recommend a good electric caravan heater with a quiet fan and thermostat? I have tried a couple now but have had to take them back due to the fan being too noisy. The reason we want a quiet fan is because we intend to leave it on during the night.
Thanks Matt

I subscribe to your view about fan noise totally. No matter how quiet the are never silent.
My solution was to go for a halogen heater. Low electrical power (400W/800W/1200W) good heat output. Gives a nice rosy glow all night!!
I got a Pyramid Heater from Coopers of Gt Yarmouth £6.99 works great!!

I agree about fan heaters are sometimes noisy, but halogen heaters only give heat where the 'light' drops. Why not try a oil filled radiator?------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...

I'd recommend a convector heater - quiet, lightweight and not bright.------------- Caz

Poor Matt, three different contributors, three different views!!
An impartial view: When I use the halogen heater at home, our cats love it. They can't be wrong can they??

I also found the fan heater too noisy for overnight use. I bought an 800w oil filled radiator in Spain for about €20 and wouldn't be without it, on the lowest setting it keeps the chill off overnight although we rarely leave it on for long as our duvets are lovely and warm after a few minutes. Having it on during long cold evenings keeps the room temp just right.

I've got one in my bedroom, the dog lies on the bed with his head hanging over the edge and toasts his brains all night if I leave it on.
They say dogs are stupid, don't they?
