I have just added a caravan to my arsenal, so I'm offically a tenter, popup camper and a caravanner.
With my past caravans, the 12v electric setup has consisted of a battery and two crocodile clips which when connected, work the lights and if towing, charges the battery throught the auxillary plug on the car. I'd have a standard car battery charger on the EHU if needed to recharge on site. This new van has a thing called a ZIG unit which I have never come across before. By the looks of it, the EHU plugs into the van as usual then to the trip thingy and on to this ZIG device. The car aux plug is also connected to the unit. It all culminates at the leisure battery. I have never seen one before so please can anyone explain how it works.
Thanks
Bob
