I have recently replaced and resealed a window rubber using mastic on a roll and used sikaflex for the rail above the window.

When I screwed down the rail the sikaflex was pushed out and doesn't look that good now it is dry.

Do you have any tips for removing the excess sikaflex without affecting the seal?
