I,ve seen the following bit of kit for sale secondhand:

240 volt to 12 volt transformer / battery charger made by MEC Ltd

Type 1014 input 240 v ac 50hz output 12v dc

Can be installed into older caravans to run the 12 volt system and charge battery from 240 volt hook up 200 watt max 12 amp

Measurments 7.5 x 4.25 x 3 inches

Is MEC a decent bit of kit?

Is 12 amp output sufficient (3 number strip lights, single toilet light, thetford electric flush, power for gas operation of carver cascade water heater, standard water pump)

Hi Tony , i don't know the make of charger , but we have a 10amp transformer / battery charger in our caravan and it copes fine with 5 strip lights , water pump , roof fan , 4 spot lights , radio , outside light etc .
So i would have thought a 12amp charger / transformer would be fine .

The 1014 model is a 10amp 14volt (13.8v) charger...someone ticked the wrong box?

Not the best power supply/charger made but bailey used them for years and with a good battery they cope.
