I have inherited a large tent. Possibly 6 or 8 person. On the outside casing is written ‘Thermotent. Comfort Outdoors’. The tent seems to be in two large cases, on wheels, the poles on bags. It’s far too large for me and also I can hardly lift even the bag with the poles. Has anyone heard of this type of tent?

Thanks for that answer. I can’t even lift the bag of poles so I assume it’s a big tent. I have a photo of it erected. So, for now I’ll look up Crua and see if it looks the same. I know it had a wood burner too. Think it was used twice. I’ll let you know if I find out anything. I want to sell it as I haven’t room for it.
Nearly every tent has a data sheet sew into the outer tent just right of the door.
This should tell you everything you need to know if you can find it.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Re data sheet, I didn’t open any of the bags in case I couldn’t get the contents back in! But I did email Crua and their response was “Wow, one of our first thermo tents. We haven’t instructions for that particular model but are sending them for the newer ones”.
So we now have instructions, have a very large green outside the house, and my army veteran husband and his Serbian army friend have been tasked to put the thing up, with me supervising of course!
Will let you know how it goes. It probably won’t be one we keep as we have several others which are smaller but you never know….
Your tent has gone beyond old, it is now retro!
One day I'd like to get an old tent with a complete set of worn out and useless personal kit including one of those horrible aerosol gas cans and set fire to it so I can film it burn.
I understand tent fires are quite impressive and we should all beware.
Thanks Wendy. Good advice. I’ll get it up and see what it’s like. I inherited it from my son who died recently and unexpectedly. We both loved camping and I even bought a very old VW camper, Devon conversion.
So, up to my ears at mo, clearing his house, putting it on the market. Trying to keep my head above water so I’ve appreciated everyone’s help with this.
TrishaScuba, haivng read you last post, I wanted to wish you well, that's a sad story. I hope you have many happy memories and these can help turn turn pain and despair to respair.

Yay! Got the tent up. In super condition and extremely large. There were no instructions anywhere on the tent but Crua sent some for a similar tent. It’s great!
