Hi all,
First time posting but been using the site for a while. I have an old Vango large sun canopy which i bought after our last camping trip a few years back, although never used. Haven't been camping for a number of years but now thinking of going again so checking all my equipment and noticed that my extension canopy has a couple of small tears. I believe it was like this when I bought it but cannot remember. They have been caused by the pole ferrules so not big at all. I have attached a picture to hopefully show what I mean.
I want to fix them but would like them to be fairly invisible if possible. I am unsure if to use tear aid tape, a combination of tape and seam sealer or something else. There are probably 4 or 5 of them in total.
Never repaired a tent before so any help appreciated.
Many thanks

If they are small tears then repair them with Tenacious Tape.
It is relatively invisible and I have used it several times. Tenacious Tape is available in either rolls or patches from decent climbing and camping shops.
Thanks. I have read that some people use seam sealer for small tears so wasn't sure what would be the beat option. But as there are a couple close together the tape is probably the better bet I suppose. Thanks for the help.
Another vote for Tenacious Tape - put a little on each side of the fabric and curve off the patch edges as square corners are more apt to begin to peel off. It's not cheap but works very well.
