Is this tent recalled ? Just been sold this tent a week ago (August 2020) from online campingworld. Had the tent up for less than 24hours and we had a rain shower earlier and the whole tent floor is now covered in water. Including all our bedding, all our equipment. The tent is not waterproof at all. It’s now a very expensive paddling pool. 3 young boys camping trip is now ruined. Came on here to look if anyone else has had this problem and saw a post saying all 2019 models have been recalled ? So why were we sold this tent. Will be sorting it all out tomorrow but wondering if anyone else has had this problem with this tent and can figure out why we were sold it if it’s recalled! Spent over £1800 for the tent and all equipment purchased from camping world.

Hi there I'm not sure if you found a fault with your tent. I purchased the smaller 5sa which I have since used 4 times, mostly in the dry. We have recently just had to abandon a stay away due to the tent leaking in water. We have never stored this wet so kept wondering what we had done wrong. We're did you end up going with the issue?

Welcome along to the Forum.
You might be out of luck getting a reply from the OP as they never put an update on since their original post in 2020.
Possibly another member might know.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The entire 2019 range of Outwell inflatable tents and awnings was recalled, but it was not related to water leaks but rather air leaks! The recall was down to faulty airtubes.
Quote below from their statement to UKCampsite.co.uk at the time
"Thank you for your comments and we would like to take the opportunity to confirm that we have recently identified an issue with air tubes that affects a number of 2019 Outwell inflatable tents and motorhome awnings.
For more than 25 years we have worked hard to achieve and maintain high levels of product quality, service and trust so we are truly embarrassed to report this failure. Thankfully, these incidents are rare. But errors do occur, and we would like to assure you that we take these issues very seriously.
We would like to stress that this only affects 2019 models and apologise profusely to anyone who has already purchased one of these tents or motorhome awnings. We are currently implementing an action plan with our retail network and you will soon be contacted by either your supplying retailer or our team in order to rectify the problem."
Hi. After another abandoned family holiday due to the tent leaking we told Outwell our story and they kindly offered a replacement. I suspect there was a fabric material problem that year for a production batch.
