For those of you who were around 10 ish years ago, you may remember one of the great tents that Outwell sold back then - the Yosemite Falls with rip-stop cotton.

It was big, heavy, had a very streamlined unusual look due to the zipped in poles that kept them secure and hidden except at the bottom where they appeared to sit on the ground. It was also a very expensive tent at just over £2000.00 back then!.

So today ( yes, late to the 2022 tent party! ) i noticed the Outwell Regent collection - a lovely dark green polycotton tent and back to traditional strong steel poles!

I think i might have to have one!.

With the exception of the Karsten air tents, some of which are now nearly 20+ years old but use a very different air tube from mainstream air tents, other air tents' bladders are now ageing and i wonder how long they will last before needing replaced and, are the bladders with valve still available to buy for older and ageing air tents?

Outwell themselves are notorious for not keeping / maing spares for their older tents, in fact as soon as a tent model is out of production - so are spare parts for it!.

Anyways the new steel poled Yosemite tents from Outwell in 4 / 5 / 6 man versions all look great and when the autumn / sept / oct sales begin, I think i may just have to purchase either the easy to put up 4 man, or the roomier but heavier and much bigger 5 man version.

Im very happy to see Outwell bring back the traditional pole tents combined with polycotton in a small but premuium range!.
I wonder if others are equally excited and have bought or considering buying one!

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

Nice tent, not so different from my old Outwell Glendale 5 in style, which I found to be great tent.

The price is hefty as is normal for Cotton, or Polycotton, but it's the weight of near 56Kg total for the 5 berth, that's heading for 2/3 again as much as that of my polyester Glendale 5, and that's a beast of thing to lug around! The pack size is also pretty substantial, need a big car boot for that and all the other gear!

Still a nice tent, but think I'm probably past heaving monster tents around!
