Hello all,
This is more of a PSA really.
I quite like Decthlon products and fancied a new tent. I ordered the MH100 3 person tent (Fresh and Black) last week. When this arrived I noticed tiny white spots all over the inside of the flysheet. At first, I wondered if this was a special fresh and black treatment or something, however after a bit of research realised it was mildew, mold or something similar.
Not happy obviously, but these things happen.
I decided to try again, and this time got an Arpenaz 4.1 family tent, not trusting the fresh and black anymore.
Lo and behold, this one also has mold (I'm a poet etc...). More obvious this time, on the inner and the insides of the windows. Little black splodges as in the pic.
I've been in contact with Decathlon about this and they haven't been amazing tbh. I had to chase them to refund my postage on the first tent, which was £7.99 for expedited delivery.
Anyway, this isn't a general moan about Decathlon - I really like their designs and have a fair bit of equipment that I like. However, please do have a check if you order a tent from them. Two in a row, different tents suggests to me that they may have a significant storage problem perhaps. I've got pretty bad athsma and always check these things since having a bad reaction to a mildew ridden boardgame I received once.
