Ive got the original 2 second tent and I am 6FT 1.5 inches tall (don't forget the half inch ) and have no problems sleeping in our tent. The lights are 35cm smaller than the original tents so I can't say wether they would be long enough.

we have the original 2 second quechuas. We use a campingaz double air mattress (the one with pillows). There isn't a lot of spare room but my husband is just over 6ft and he sleeps happily in it. My son, who is about the same height, found it a bit short but he has still used it on several occasions so it can't be that bad.

we also have an easy up gazebo.

perfect.

if you need room for 'stuff' just take another quechua

or a beach/fishing shelter with zip up door makes a useful shed.

The problem with rain getting in because the door slopes has been discussed in another thread.  one solution is here >  cross thread

if you do buy one.. make sure you practice taking it down!!!

go to http://seconds.quechua.com/EN/main.html for the video. :)

They've got a shop?

Have you got the name?

We saw a young couple spend about 2 hours trying to pack down one of these things last year in Belgium.   I guess there's a knack to it?

if you watch the video and do it a few times it is easy peasy.

we totally failed to fold it up the first year. Luckily we had a wide enough vw van to bring it home half folded.

whiskydry .. crawling in is fine.. turning round and crawling out when you are a bit old and rickety, have had a pint of cider or six and want to go to the loo in a hurry can be a bit challenging .

The campingaz double mattress does fit nicely but you have to pump it up outside the tent, so if it is raining, that could be a problem. A self inflator thingy would probably be better.

when i bought the tent my friend who is an experienced camper was very sceptical which is why i got the gazebo.. for extra shelter. It was nice but we didn't need it.

nb: mark you were posting while i was typing .. i wasn't disagreeing with you :)

Totally agree, took one to Italy last year for my daughter to use. Fantastic piece of kick was used for 10 days in all weathers including an enormous thunder storm. My only criticism is that it could do with some weatherprotection over the door. Getting in and out in the rain allows water into the tent even if you are very quick.

If you look at my gallery pics , you can see the porch I made for my Quechua.  It cost about £15 all in and took about an hour to make.
