It does have two side doors one which has mesh so you can open the door but it doesn't let any creepie crawlys fly in.

Thanks for all your help. I think I have made up my mind that this is the tent I am going to go for. seems no one makes an absolutely perfect one but this one seems as though it will suit us for what we want.

Have you thought of the Starcamper 4?  It is the same design as the Idaho 400 but with the extra entrance.   I still think that the Vango Oregon 400 (not to be confused with the Oregon of another make) is a good compromise.  Gotta feeling we'll never find the perfect tent - I hope the manufacturers are clocking the comments in this forum.  jenny

Thanks Jenny. I'll have a look at the Starcamper. I don't like the Vango Oregon because of the sloping front....just personal choice.

I'd like to go somewhere so I could see them all erected, then it might be an easier decision...I find it really hard to fully imagine things from the pictures and diagrams on the net!

HI

used our 400 for the first time last week at maustin cp near harrogate, we got evry kind of weather you could imagine apart from snow.as we had never had it out of the bag we were a bit wary about pitching for the first time, although we watched the video several times.amazingly it took us 22mins in total to pitch in full, very easy to pitch.to sum up an excellent tent, no leaks, very little condensation, ideal tent for two ,three at a push, personally i would recommend it to anyone10/10.please contact me with any queries.
