Just back from another trip in our 440 cuisine and when zipping up the bedroom pole into the canvas I noticed on one of the pole sections that the hole on one side had split, but not the other? I hammered it flat so as to not damage the canvas but I need to contact the dealer about this. Sounds like a common problem.
Also had the loops come off the groundsheet. Dealer fixed it, but this time when we were unpacking and took the ground sheet out of its bag 2 more fell off.
Apart form that they're great tents and always get other campers coming up for a chat about it!
By the way, BobnSuz were banned off this site so can't reply anymore - don't know why?
Chaz

Have just returned from 2 weeks in Cornwall with our Biscaya. 1st week was very windy, when taking tent down noticed that a couple of the holes had distorted on the edge, could eventually split. Will have to keep an eye on these. MattG you mentioned replacing them with steel, do Cabanon do sets of steel poles or are you just hoping?
Generally though this is the most wind friendly tent I have ever used.
Just back from 18 nights in Britanny and the tent performed very well - so well in fact that the weather made no difference to our trip - if it was hot the tent was fine - if it was windy the tent was fine and if it rained the tent was fine! It just quiety sat there.
At present there are no steel poles for the Cabanon - but they do steel poles with the canvas version so I was going to wait until the end (!?) of the summer and start asking questions and requesting a resolution. I do not mind if they commit to replace them whenever the fault arises - or if they want to give me a set of steel poles - or if they wan t me to try out any trial polkes for the next "release" of the tent. I would really hate to have to abandon the tent because of this. Even with two poeple it is very hard to avoid any twisting on the poles when lifting them up.
I also wondered about the wind. In Devon we had a very strong crosswind and not sure if this contributed to the initial problems.
Just back from 2 weeks in Austria with our 440 and it performed perfectly. After our last trip in which we had a damaged pole, the dealer swapped the pole for us and explained how it could of happened.
This trip no problems to report, from high 30's temps to 2 days of solid Alpine rain it did as Matt has said of his "It just quiety sat there."
Brilliant tent
