MrLobster - fair play on the retort!  I take it by this then that the UEFA Cup is the pinnacle of club football competitions!!!  I'm only kidding - I work with one of your fellow "bitters" and the banter is endless and this site is definitely not the right forum to air it!

Good luck this season (maybe our defence can handle 'AJ' this time!).

Back from first outing with a new 440 biscaya (2007 model)

Great tent, took us 50 mins to pitch it but that was our first ever attempt and it was far from ideal weather!

Had lots of rain and wind over the weekend but luckily it was dry for the last couple of days so didn't have to pack up in the wet.

However, when unpegging the groungsheet to pack it away we have found 3 of the plastic pegging eyes/hoops have detached themselves from the groundsheet. It looks like they eyes are glued to the groundsheet, so maybe ours was faulty. Didn't peg the groundsheet too tightly so they wouldn't have been under any strain so not sure why they have come off. I''ll contact the dealer tomorrow to see what they say.

Due to go camping again in 3 weeks so hopefully we'll just get the g/s swapped over.

Sorry thecazza1 - I forgot you asked about setup time.  It took us about 80mins in total including the tables, chairs, EHU, bedding, etc.  This is bound to reduce in time as we get the routine sorted!

You didn't use the pegging points to help pull the pegs out did you, Chaz? I know it is tempting to get them started by pulling on the pegging points, but it is an absolute no-no on the Biscaya, for reasons you have stated.

They are heat-welded to the PVC groundsheet, so shouldn't tear off easily or 'detach themselves'.

What did the dealer say?

We have a proper peg puller to pull the pegs out, and the groundsheet pegs wern't buried in the soil like I do with the others.

I was wondering if the very slight slope or the very strong wind had any effect on them?

Worse case scenario is I glue them back on with super glue!

The dealer said to take it back to them, but we've been too busy to do so as yet.
